Returns & exchange

A Rowan Gallery is committed to ensuring that each work arrives safely and meets the highest archival and presentation standards.
If a work does not meet your expectations, we will work with you to resolve the matter promptly and with care.

Return Eligibility

Works may be considered for return when:

  • A return request is made within 10 business days of delivery

  • The work is received in its original condition

  • All accompanying documentation, including the Certificate of Authenticity, is returned with the work

  • Proof of purchase is provided (this can be an order number or name & address)

Returns are not accepted for works that have been altered, installed, or damaged after delivery.

Condition Upon Arrival

Each work is carefully inspected prior to release.
If your order arrives with visible damage to the packaging or artwork:

  • Notify the gallery immediately

  • Retain all original packing materials

  • Provide photographic documentation of the artwork and packaging

This allows us to initiate the appropriate shipping insurance process without delay.

Return Process

Prior to returning any work, please contact the gallery so that proper handling and delivery arrangements can be provided.

Collectors are responsible for:

  • Return shipping costs

  • Insurance for the full value of the artwork

  • Secure packaging suitable for fine art transport

For the safety of the work, signature confirmation is required on all returns.

The gallery cannot assume responsibility for works lost or damaged in transit during return shipment, so we strongly recommend insuring all returns.

Refunds

Once the work has been received and its condition verified, a refund of the purchase price will be issued.

Original shipping and handling charges are non-refundable.

Refunds are processed within 10 business days of the completed return.

Exchanges & Placement Support

If a work does not suit its intended space, the gallery is pleased to assist with an exchange or to advise on alternative works.

Whenever possible, we encourage collectors to contact the gallery prior to purchase for guidance on scale, framing, and placement.

Collectors are encouraged to work with our team and utilize our Augmented Reality technology for room previews to ensure works are suitable for your space.

Non-Returnable Works

The following are considered final sale:

  • Commissioned works

  • Custom-framed works prepared to collector specifications

  • Works acquired through payment plans once the final installment has been completed

  • Editioned works where the Certificate of Authenticity has been altered or is missing

Collector Assistance

We are always available to provide:

  • Additional images

  • Scale guidance

  • Framing recommendations

  • Placement consultation

before a purchase is finalized.

This ensures that each acquisition is made with complete confidence. Our team specializes in design and genuinely love to assist collectors in transforming space with our artworks.
